Luis Blanc y Navarro

Barbastro, 1834 – La Almunia, 1887 Politician / Writer

Journalist, politician, playwright and publicist. As a young man he served in the Carbonari movement and was involved in various revolutionary acts. He was a Republican and edited the clandestine newspaper El Relámpago, which is why jailed. He took part in the 1868 Gloriosa Revolution and was a deputy in the Spanish Assembly. He retired from political life after the Spanish First Republic.
