Zarzuela composer and conductor at the Teatro de la Zarzuela in Madrid. Arche was a fine violinist. Among his most famous zarzuela compositions are El Contrabandista del Pirineo (1854), Buenas noches vecino (1856), Septiembre del 68, Abril del 69 (1869), El Barón de la Castaña (1872), Don Pompeyo en Carnaval (1873).
