Gonçal Serraclara i Costa

Barcelona, 1841 – Barcelona, 1885 Politician

Politician. Serraclara participated in the 1868 revolution, was elected deputy in Barcelona in 1869, and was part of the Federalists’ Club. He founded the newspaper El Estado Catalán and took part in the federalist uprising of September 1869. He returned from exile in 1873, and in March of that year, he collaborated in the attempt to proclaim the Catalan State.
