Francesc Folch i Albinyana

Politician

Politician and merchant. Owner of a clothing store on Carrer de la Boqueria in Barcelona. There is little information about him. He might have been part of the Club of the Federalists (Club de los Federalistas) in Barcelona. He accompanied Clavé to Madrid in 1870 to urgently consult with Francesc Pi i Margall some issues related to the Federal Republican Committee of Barcelona. His stay in Madrid coincided with the murder of Joan Prim, he was imprisoned as a suspect, at the behest of Joaquim Bartra.
