Eusebi Valldeperas Merich

Barcelona, 1827 – Madrid, 1900 Artist

Painter. Valldeperas Merich was a disciple of Federico de Madrazo and Carlos Luis Ribera at the Academy of San Fernando in Madrid. He travelled to Paris, Belgium, Germany and Italy to study painting.

Valldeperas Merich specialized in historical painting and portraits. He was made Knight of the Order of Charles III and commander of the Order of Queen Isabel I of Castille (“la Católica”).
