Antoni Clavé i Camps

Barcelona, 1826 – Barcelona, 1873 Family / Politician

Republican politician and Josep Anselm Clavé’s youngest brother. He was a member of the political party led by Abdó Terrades.

Antoni Clavé participated in the assault on the Ciutadella (Barcelona) in 1843. In 1869, he joined Adolf Jaorizti’s campaign in the Federal Republican Party, after which he was forced into exile. In the winter of 1873, he became a member of the Federal Democratic Republican Committee in Barcelona.

He died of tuberculosis at 45, on May 13, 1873.
