Clavé
Description
Josep Anselm Clavé was nominated Governor in Castelló de la Plana in 1873, during the First Spanish Republic, until General de Pavía’s coup on January 3, 1874. Clavé held several political positions, among them deputy and President of Barcelona’s council in 1871, and Government Delegate in Tarragona in 1873.
In this telegram, he tells his wife that he accepts the nomination. He mentions his brother Fernando, who is also traveling to Castellón (albeit in a different train) and will bring him some clothes.
