Sara is pursuing a Ph.D. in Hispanic Languages and Literatures at Stony Brook University, having received her undergraduate degree in Classical Philology from Universidad de Salamanca, an MPhil degree in Komparatistik from Humboldt Universität Berlin/Universidad de Salamanca, and a second master’s degree in Theoretical Philosophy from UNED in Madrid. 

As a poet, her latest published books are Feliz solo en las ruinas (Esdrújula, III Esdrújula National Poetry Award), and América(Universidad de Almería, IV Facultad de Poesía José Ángel Valente Poetry Award). Her poems have been published in magazines in Spain, Peru, Ecuador, Mexico, and the USA. In addition to poetry, as a translator, she has published translations from classical Greek, Latin, modern Greek, English, and German. She is currently working on the first Spanish translation of W. G. Sebald's early poetry (forthcoming 2021). She is the founding co-editor of the poetry journal América Invertida.
